ALIA MICHELE CONTEST!!!

I’m at the point where I’m ready to change my hair colour, but I can’t seem to decide if I’m going darker or lighter! This is where you come in!

Help me choose a hair colour from the two choices above: A. Dark with violet undertones or B. Blonde tips to add to my already ombre curls (Yes, I’m feeling wild). If you choose the one I end up going with, one of you will win an aliamichèle bag from the 2012 collection!! Oh yea!!!

CONTEST RULES:

1. Like us on Facebook!

2. Like the image of the hair colour you like, in the ALIAMICHELE COMPETITION album on our Facebook Page

3. Leave a comment on our Facebook Page as to why you love aliamichèle bags or aliamichèle style!

So simple! The winner will be announced on February 15, 2013! Have fun!!!

To do something well is so worthwhile that to die trying to do it better cannot be foolhardy. It would be a waste of life to do nothing with one’s ability, for I feel that life is measured in achievement, not in years alone.

SKETCHES BECOME CLOTHING

When you’ve been to art school like me, your heart will randomly sing for awesomeness like this. Recent fashion graduate Elvira ‘t Hart has created a collection where 2D art becomes 3-dimensional. The lazer cut details make these pieces so intricate and amazing, that since I saw them on my computer last week, I’ve been in awe. Such a genius and interesting idea. This my friends….is ART! And that bra top would be awesome with a high waist pencil skirt!! Enjoy!

[STYLE PROFILE: SARAH ANN MURRAY—MENSWEAR]

It would seem like 2013 is the year for menswear….but for women. Recently in Milan for Fashion Week, lots of women were seen parading the streets in 3-piece suits, ties, bow ties and much more. I have to say I kinda dig it, and my top contender for who kills the trend goes to Sarah Ann Murray. She pulls the look off by adding her perfectly coiffed do to help keep it on the feminine side (no fashionista wants to look butch). I love it and we all know I’m a sucker for a nice men’s shirt! Oh yea! Enjoy!

I am so excited to finally share these pictures with you! I was pretty lucky to travel with my family to the Inauguration this month, and I went to two fancy Balls for the weekend on top of seeing President Obama’s car (That’s all I got…but it made me happy)! The All-American Ball was black tie so I opted for a dress by one of my fave designers Korto Momolu. Got the banger from KerryManWomanHome Jamaica, and I added a belt from asos because it’s obvious I can never go anywhere without some colour!

I’ll hopefully be able to send pictures of my look from the Jamaican Inaugural Ball some time soon. In the meantime enjoy and have a lovely week!

P.S. Thanks Kerry!

Thanks to Kelly Dillon, I’m also counting down to the release of the Parbal Gurung collection for Target! I am a sucker for florals and I’ve already chosen my favourite looks which I’m sharing with you today. So pretty! You can see the rest of the collection here at Elle and feel free to share you faves with me in the comments section!
