Hi there!! It has been a while….. a reaallyyy long while! But the good thing is I wasn’t gone forever! Woot!

I was recently in the Jamaica Observer’s “Under the Dryer” Saturday feature, where I spilled the beans on my curls!

People always ask me what I put in my hair which usually starts a long convo. My hair gets used to products very easily, so I switch it up a lot. The secret? I let go of curl styling products because they either made my hair super greasy or dry. I simply leave in my conditioner, and after towel drying, I put a dabble more in there and go! I also use a gel brush instead of a big tooth comb. This actually helps reduce the frizz. See! Simple as 1, 2 & 3! You can see the products I’m using now in the image above!

P.S. I only colour my hair whenever I visit NY’s Salon 718! Why? My hair has never felt like straw since I started going to my big sis Michaella. I really wish she was pocket size so I could take her everywhere!

I’m pretty picky when it comes to accessories, so when my good friend told me about Stella & Dot, I asked her to sign me up for the online trunk show! It’s pretty hard at times to drop cash on jewellery you’re not able to see in person, but I’ve seen some of these pieces and they are worth it (note I said some)! The arrow necklace has already been bought! LOVE that piece (arrows are kinda my new obsession these days)!!!

As you probably know, I am a trained Graphic Designer. This is why even though my blog is Alia Michèle Style, I still have a few random typography/print/packaging/etc posts spread throughout. These Früute cookie packages are just too cool! I would buy them just for the packaging and those cute little words! I’m definitely down for some cookies and champagne come March 30th! There’s something about watercolour paintings that bring absolute joy to my life. Add fashion to that? I’m like a kid in a candy store! LOVE OF MADNESS

When I decided to switch paths in my life, I had no idea what was coming. Now my life is filled with awesome opportunities which have kept me busy and sadly away from blogging (I apologize & and I know now what to do to keep my readers happy). So let me update you on what’s been happening!

Weekend Smile on Television Jamaica is something I do once to twice a month, and the preparations for each topic are always challenging but totally fun. Recently, the producer gave me the freedom to speak for one tiny minute about what I LIKE (not what the rest of the world thinks is a trend), and I was on top of the world! LOL! I typed a million exclamation marks in our What’s App chat! Yes, I’m slightly insane. ;)

The filming of Home Sweet Home with Kamila McDonald-Alcott has now begun and I’m told that the craziness hasn’t even started yet. Eek! But this is part of the reason why I’ve been busy the past 2 weeks. I couldn’t be more excited for this opportunity. Everytime I’m dressing this lovely lady or on set, I realize how much I love this and am grateful for the team trusting me and my style input! I really have a blast each time…and I learn a lot about housing in Jamaica which is definitely not a bad thing!

Last but not least…as you know I’m now a contributor for Caribbean Beat Magazine. And while taking a last minute trip the other day, I saw with my own two eyes, my name and blog right below my 100 word paragraph! I was tempted to tell the gentleman sitting beside me “This is me! This is me!” but I calmed myself down. I’m also excited because I now have more time to find designers around the Caribbean and get to share them with you, so that we can all support our islands!! (In the meantime though, check out Jamaica’s own Ayanna Dixon)!!

It has been pure madness but total excitement….and I’m loving every minute of it. More projects are on the way which I’m uber excited about and will soon share with you all.

Thank you for being patient, for coming to the blog and seeing the same crap, and yet still checking. I’m grateful for all!! I love all the madness!

Mind you, the second look I’d pair that jacket with a gown loaded with tulle fabric (Yes I am a wild one)! I am so excited to announce that I am now the contributor for THE LOOK in Caribbean Beat Magazine. Yes, it has been brewing for a while, but I kinda had to keep it hush hush until today!!

I am so grateful for this opportunity because not only do I get to talk about my first love… fashion, but I also get to search for some of the best designers in the Caribbean! It’s going to be a great experience!

Man where does the time go?? We’re already in March, which is exciting because it’s almost Spring, and that means awesome clothes and sandals are in stores now!!

My week was a bit crazy but filled with only great things! And luckily for me, I have an awesome Mom who always brings back goodies from her travels to inspire me, (I have a Vogue magazine from almost every country now)!!

And after seeing Charlize’s super do…I had to do a throw back of my afro. Gotta say though….I love being able to throw these curls into a bun!!!
