WATERCOLOUR LOVE

There’s something about watercolour paintings that bring absolute joy to my life. Add fashion to that? I’m like a kid in a candy store! These lovely illustrations by António Soares are simply amazing. I love that the paper is used as a tool for the highlights of each illustration. So simple & lovely!

Who would have thought manholes could be so beautiful? Usually I’m somewhat terrified of walking past them, due to the steam explosion in NY a few years back. Good excuse right? But these in Japan are worth me getting over the fear and getting up close to take a look!

SKETCHES BECOME CLOTHING

When you’ve been to art school like me, your heart will randomly sing for awesomeness like this. Recent fashion graduate Elvira ‘t Hart has created a collection where 2D art becomes 3-dimensional. The lazer cut details make these pieces so intricate and amazing, that since I saw them on my computer last week, I’ve been in awe. Such a genius and interesting idea. This my friends….is ART! And that bra top would be awesome with a high waist pencil skirt!! Enjoy!

INST-AL-GRAMMED

I’m a bit late with a lot of these images, but my Instagram follower (:P), made it slide due to my very hectic yet creative last few weeks. December was filled with sleepless nights, but I got many memorable moments out of it. I was able to go back to my first love…handbags which I’ve decided to stick with next year. I attempted the guitar, got the cute heart on my finger, was surprised with lots of happy things because I was stressed out, and had the chance to take part in a super event, Conversation Piece, where I took both my Grandma’s with me for good luck on that little diamond ring. My life has changed….and I’m grateful!

CONCRETE JUNGLE

I love bags…this is no surprise since designing and making them was once my passion. So when IVANKA (the design company for concrete), popped up in my Google feed, I searched through everything on their website for hours. They have done mostly furniture as well as other home items made from concrete, but recently stepped over into the fashion world. Concrete clutches? Yes please! I can’t express how much I adore the new products, and you know it’s a big deal because I rarely post bags on my blog. Take a look for yourself…it’s totally worth it!

MY WEEK INSTAGRAMED!

It has been a crazy week, and doesn’t look like it will ease up this weekend! Got my girls spayed, which was a horrible experience because they were sad for 2 days. But, I registered to vote, got some pool time in before the regular afternoon showers, drooled at and then wished for a Korto Momolu dress from KERRYmwh, and gave my denim skirt a distressed makeover! FUN!! Have a beautiful weekend everyone!

Love,
Alia
